HOW TO GIVE 100% IN EVERYTHING AND NOT BURN OUT
The team at Taqesch is just a team of 1, ME! As the owner and designer of Taqesch Swim I am always giving 100% to my business and every day is a working day because I genuinely love what I do, and I love making a difference in peoples lives.
However, over the past 3 years of bringing Taqesch to life, I have learnt so much about what it means to give 100%, without burning out, and don’t get me wrong, there have been weeks or even months where I have felt mentally and physically exhausted and it definitely takes a toll on me.
Believe me when you read this… there is no such thing as giving 100% to every aspect and area of your life, trust me…I have tried
But what I have come to learn is that there are seasons we go through in life, in some seasons we will place more importance on different areas of our lives.. For example, right now I am focused heavily on getting Taqesch off the ground and my future, because that is a priority for me right now, however, I also recognise when it’s time to pause and focus on my family and health.
So I have personally put together a small list of steps for you goddesses on how to give 100% without burning out.
- KNOW WHEN YOU GIVE IT YOUR ALL AND WHEN TO SLOW DOWN Especially in todays society, it is glorified when we ‘hustle’ or when we over work ourselves but this is the furthest from the truth! Learn how to lean in to your intuition. Are you feeling anxious or stressed? Probably a good time to take a break, are you working to a tight deadline? Probably go a little harder.
- SWITCH OFF: It is so crucial to switch off for at least a few hours every day, work your day into a schedule and the second it hits 5 or 6pm, switch off. Do something you enjoy! Go for a walk, spend time with family, do a workout or just be present.
- MEDITATE: I can not stress how importance meditation is, it is honestly a game changer and if you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend you download the bloom app :)
- MOVE YOUR BODY: If you have an extremely busy day, or your working hard on a project all day, take at least 5 minutes off your laptop/phone and do some mindful movement! This can be stretching, going for a walk, or yoga. 5 minutes can make a huge difference and your body and mind will thank you for it.
